Trinity

• I learned time management with having to pick up the slack from some other team members. This resulted in me learning more patience.

Grant

• I accomplished management skills and had great practice with grit because our project was not ideal from the start. We all were either absent the day the groups were assigned, or left out of a previous group so we were collaborated into this one. We had our IT guy quit after a disagreement on the website end goal, had a conflict with our last group project meeting, and dealt with the lack of the participation to the best of our ability. We still spread awareness of smoking and vaping side effects, resulting in 29 signatures with advice about quitting smoking.

Sarah

• I learned the importance of communication skills. Four other group members meant there was four various schedules I had to work with. Since we could not always meet up, I had to learn how to actively keep in contact with everyone. This project also allowed me to improve my time management skills due to the tight time restraints. Procrastination was not much of an option, and I was forced to complete tasks ahead of their due date.

Alec

• ​What I learned from this project was lessons in public speaking. Due to the amount of presentations and events, I gained more confidence in talking to people and crowds. Secondly, I refined my group skills by working in a group and being a better team member. Finally, this project helped me to understand the impact of doing something good for the community.

• I improved my public speaking skills. I was able to present to the class and talk to people without feeling that anxious.
